What is RosterWise?

RosterWise™ is a roster intelligence app for college sports recruiting. It analyzes every D1, D2, D3, and NAIA program in your sport — roster composition, position depth, class-year gaps, international makeup, and recruiting pathway patterns — so families can see exactly where their athlete fits. Instead of visiting hundreds of roster pages and building spreadsheets, you get all of that analysis in one app with personalized My RosterFit™ scoring.

How is RosterWise different from NCSA, SportsRecruits, or CaptainU?

Those platforms focus on exposure and coach matching — they help athletes connect with college programs. RosterWise focuses on clarity and data analysis — it helps you understand what’s actually on each roster and how your athlete compares to who’s already there. They sell exposure; we sell insight. The tools are complementary, not competing. Many families use a recruiting platform for outreach and RosterWise for the research and targeting that makes that outreach more effective.

Who is RosterWise for?

RosterWise is built for high school athletes and their families who are navigating the college recruiting process. Whether your athlete is a sophomore just starting to explore options or a senior narrowing a final list, RosterWise helps you make informed decisions based on real roster data — not guesswork, not generic school lists, and not someone else’s opinion of where your kid belongs.

What sports does RosterWise cover?

RosterWise Soccer launches first, covering men’s and women’s programs across NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA — more than 2,200 programs in total. Women’s lacrosse, women’s volleyball, softball, and field hockey are planned next. Each sport ships as its own app with sport-specific position analysis, recruiting patterns, and fit scoring.

How much does RosterWise cost?

RosterWise is a one-time purchase of $40. No subscriptions, no monthly fees, no ads. You pay once and have access for your entire recruiting journey. Available beginning May 2026.

Is there a subscription?

No. RosterWise is a one-time payment of $40 with lifetime access. There are no recurring charges, no premium tiers, and no ads. One price, full access, for as long as you need it. We chose this model because recruiting families already spend enough on club fees, showcases, and travel — the last thing you need is another monthly bill.

Can I get a refund?

App Store purchases are governed by Apple’s refund policy. You can request a refund through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you have questions or concerns about the app, you can also reach us directly at [email protected] — we’re a small team and we read every message.

Is there a free version?

Details on any free offering are still being finalized. At $40 with no ongoing costs, RosterWise is designed to deliver significant value at a fair, one-time price — less than the cost of a single tournament entry fee. We believe the depth of analysis speaks for itself.

Data & Accuracy

Where does RosterWise’s data come from?

RosterWise pulls data from publicly available university athletics websites — the same roster pages any family can visit. Our data pipeline normalizes and cross-validates information across thousands of programs so you can compare them side by side in a consistent format. We never scrape behind authentication or access private information.

How often is the data updated?

Roster data is refreshed regularly throughout the recruiting cycle to reflect roster changes, incoming classes, and transfers. Each program listing in the app shows when its data was last updated, so you always know how current the information is.

What if the data is wrong?

If you spot an error, please contact us at [email protected]. We take data accuracy seriously and will investigate and correct any issues as quickly as possible. You can also review our takedown policy if you have concerns about specific athlete data.

Do you include high school recruits?

No. RosterWise analyzes current college rosters only — the players who are already on a program’s roster. We do not track high school prospects, committed recruits, or recruiting class projections. The value is in showing you the landscape you’re recruiting into, not predicting who else might be competing for the same spots.

Privacy & Policies

Do I need to create an account?

No. RosterWise does not require an account, login, or registration. Your athlete’s profile data stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone. We designed it this way intentionally — your recruiting journey is your business.

How do I request data removal for an athlete?

If you are a current college athlete and would like your information removed from RosterWise, please visit our takedown policy page or email [email protected]. We respond to all removal requests promptly and take athlete privacy seriously.

Who is Grobe Games?

Grobe Games LLC is a family-run studio founded by a dad who went through the college soccer recruiting process with his MLS Next son. RosterWise was born from that experience — sitting at tournaments, watching families struggle with the same questions we had, and realizing that the tools available were either too shallow or too expensive. We built the tool we wished existed: deep roster intelligence at a fair price, with no agenda other than helping families make better decisions.
